Slumdog Millionaire Wins at BAFTA as Well |

After winning the Golden Globe, the 'underdog', Slumdog Millionaire, directed by Danny Boyle was on a roll at the British Academy Film Awards (BAFTA) ceremony which took place in London last night. Boyle's film bagged seven awards last night.
The BAFTA awards ceremony was held at the Royal Opera House in London last evening. Music maestro AR Rahman continued his winning streak with another award here for Best Music. He will now be looking forward to the Oscar ceremony to be held later this month and hope to top his winning streak with an Oscar. Besides music, the film, which was nominated in many other categories, also won the award for Best Film, Best Director, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Sound, Best Cinematography and Best Editing. It was a star studded ceremony which saw the likes of Kate Winslet, Mickey Rourke, as well as Penelop Cruz making an appearance at the function. As for Slumdog Millionaire, its cast comprising, Anil Kapoor, Dev Patel, Freido Pinto, along with Rahman and Boyle were at the show. Now all eyes will be on the film as the Oscars approach towards the end of this month. It may well be the beginning of another Indian sweep at the Oscars as well.
